Traffic Analytics helps you track the AI agents and crawlers visiting your website, activity that traditional analytics tools do not surface. Setting it up allows you to see which AI platforms access your site and how that activity connects to your Cognizo workflow. Traffic data complements your prompts and content by confirming whether AI systems are actually engaging with the pages designed to drive visibility.
How to Get Started with Traffic Analytics
Navigate to Traffic Analytics in the Cognizo navigation bar, then select Traffic Analytics to open the setup page.
Select your website platform or analytics provider from the available options. Each integration includes step-by-step guidance tailored to that environment.
After completing the setup, Cognizo automatically verifies the integration. Once bot traffic is detected, confirmation appears in your dashboard.
Most customers begin seeing data within a few hours.
Custom Integrations and Additional Providers
Traffic Analytics supports custom integrations. If you rely on a provider not currently listed, contact the Cognizo team via live chat or email [email protected] to discuss integration options and future support.
Using GA4 Alongside Traffic Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is useful for understanding what happens after an AI referral, such as engagement or conversion behavior. It is not designed to track AI agents, training crawlers, or indexing activity.
For AI visibility and AEO measurement, Traffic Analytics should serve as the primary source of insight.
Where GA4 Adds Value
GA4 works best for questions like:
Do visitors arriving from AI platforms convert?
Which landing pages AI-referred users engage with?
How does AI-referred traffic compare to other acquisition channels?
Best Practices for Interpreting Traffic Analytics Data
Look for patterns over time rather than isolated visits
Review page-level trends to identify content that consistently attracts AI systems
Compare traffic signals with prompt performance to uncover alignment gaps
Pair Traffic Analytics with Content Studio and prompt management for a closed-loop AEO workflow

Traffic Analytics helps you track the AI agents and crawlers visiting your website, activity that traditional analytics tools do not surface. Setting it up shows which AI platforms access your site and where they spend time. That signal ties back to your prompts and content, making it easier to confirm whether the pages you are investing in are actually being picked up by AI systems.
