Connecting to Traffic Analytics using Wordpress

Step 1: Access Traffic Analytics

Navigate to Traffic Analytics in your Cognizo dashboard and select Wordpress.


Step 2: Download the plugin and upload it to Wordpress

1. Download the plugin ZIP file here.

2. Go to WordPress AdminPluginsAdd PluginUpload Plugin

3. Click Choose File and select the ZIP file

4. Click Install NowActivate Plugin

5. Visit Cognizo Analytics

6. Enter API_URL and Tracking Code and select Enable Tracking.

7. Hit Save Settings


Step 3: Verify Setup

Return to Cognizo and click "Verify" to complete your setup and confirm the integration is working correctly.



Additional Details

This plugin:

  • Works with all caching plugins (LiteSpeed, WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, etc.)

  • Has no performance impact

  • Tracks all traffic (humans, bots, crawlers)

  • Is WooCommerce compatible


Testing

1. Go to SettingsTraffic Analytics

2. Click Test Connection button

3. Look for success message ✅


Troubleshooting

Connection Failed

  • Verify API URL is correct (no trailing slash)

  • Ensure Tracking Code matches your account

  • Check that your domain is whitelisted

Not Tracking

  • Click Debug Test button in settings

  • Verify cache plugin isn't blocking REST API


Requirements

  • WordPress 5.0+

  • PHP 7.4+

  • Traffic Analytics API account
