White labeling puts Cognizo under your brand. Your clients log in at your own web address and see your product name, colors, and logo throughout the app.
Setup takes two things from you: a few brand assets and one DNS record. We will handle everything else.
What we need from you
Item | What it is | Example |
Hostname | A subdomain you control and can edit DNS for |
|
Product name | The name your clients will see in the app | Acme Insights |
Brand color | Your primary color as a hex code |
|
Logo | Your full logo, usually with your name in it | See below |
Emblem | A small, square icon version of your brand | See below |
Logo vs. emblem
We ask for two versions of your brand mark because the app shows your brand in spaces of different sizes.
Logo
Your full brand mark, typically your name or wordmark, sometimes paired with an icon. It's wider than it is tall and appears where there's room to breathe, like the top of the navigation and the login page.
Emblem
The compact, square version of your brand, such as an icon or monogram with no text. It shows up in tight spots where a full logo would be too small to read, like the collapsed sidebar and the browser tab.
If your brand only has one mark, that's okay. Send what you have and we'll talk through options together.
File tips
Use SVG or PNG with a transparent background
For PNGs, send a high-resolution version so it stays crisp on large screens
Make sure the emblem is square and still recognizable when it's small
How setup works
Send us your details. Share the five items above with your Customer Success Manager.
We build your workspace. We create your branded environment and send you a CNAME record.
Add the CNAME to your DNS. Log in to wherever you manage your domain (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Google, and so on) and add the CNAME for the hostname you chose. Google has a helpful walkthrough: Add a CNAME record.
Go live. Once the DNS change takes effect, your hostname loads your branded version of the app.
đĄ DNS updates can take anywhere from a few minutes to a day or so to finalize.
Good to know
Do I need a new domain?
No. A subdomain of a site you already own works great, like insights.youragency.com.
Who should add the DNS record?
Whoever manages your website or domain. If that's an IT person or web agency, feel free to forward them the CNAME and this guide.
Can I change my logo or color later?
Yes. Send the updated files to your Customer Success Manager and we'll swap them in.
