A deeper look at what changed and how to get started

Written by Stevi

Citations has been updated to support content, PR, and social media teams in a much deeper way. Check out the video below for a full tour:

What's in this release:

  • Citations Overview: a new starting point with headline metrics and distributions you can read at a glance

  • Prompt and Response Linking: see which prompts triggered a citation from any domain or page, and the AI responses they appeared in

  • Page Type: a new column in Pages that classifies cited URLs by content format

  • YouTube and Reddit: dedicated tabs for the two social platforms AI draws from most

  • Deep Dive: side-by-side competitive citation analysis in one place

  • Watchlist: save domains and pages to monitor across sessions

Citations Overview

Citations now opens to an overview page with two headline metrics, Citations and Mentions, benchmarked against an average, along with topic, provider, and region distributions. Use it to orient yourself before going deeper.

Prompt and Response Linking

Open any domain or page and you can now see the specific prompts that triggered a citation from it and the AI responses it appeared in. The path from a cited source to its context is now direct.

Page Type

A new column in the Pages view classifies each cited URL by content format: articles, listicles, comparisons, forum discussions, and others. Filter by it to see which formats AI is relying on most in your category.

YouTube and Reddit

Both platforms now have dedicated tabs with the same structure as Domains and Pages, including prompt and response linking at each level.

Deep Dive

A new module for comparing your citation performance against competitors. Select the brands you want and get a side-by-side view of citations over time, mention types, and coverage by page type. Click into any format to see the specific pages driving a competitor's advantage.

Watchlist

Save specific domains and pages from within Domains and Pages. Add notes, return to saved items across sessions, and skip the re-navigation.
