Cognizo’s AI Visibility Audits deliver actionable insights to help your brand stand out in AI-driven discovery. We assess how effectively AI systems interpret your website and digital assets—analyzing your technical setup, accessibility, and content structure—to identify specific opportunities
We currently run three types of audits: Content Recommendations, Foundations, Site Audits.
1. Content Recommendations
The Content Recommendations audit is the most impactful optimization tool our users rely on.
This system provides tailored insights into what content to create, enhance, or promote to maximize visibility in both traditional and AI-driven search contexts.
We surface three kinds of recommendations:
Owned Recommendations – Ideas and improvements for content you can build or optimize on your own website.
Earned Recommendations – Opportunities to feature your content through existing or potential media partnerships.
Social Recommendations – Strategies to leverage social media in ways that strengthen your AI search presence.
Each recommendation includes:
A title summarizing the opportunity
A reasoning explaining why it matters
Implementation details to help you take action
Related prompts and citations for deeper exploration
You can mark recommendations as completed to track your progress and measure attribution — ensuring your efforts translate directly into improved AI visibility and performance.
2. Foundations Audit
The Foundations Audit evaluates whether your website is crawl-able by AI systems.
We review your core web assets — robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt — to ensure that major AI providers can find and interpret your content as intended.
Our audit checks how your current setup interacts with AI crawlers and verifies that your permissions allow for proper indexing without compromising control.
Note:
The llms.txt file is a proposed standard for declaring AI crawler permissions. While no major AI provider currently supports it, we strongly recommend preparing one in advance.
You can easily create this file using the Toolbox -> LLMs.txt generator, helping your website stay future-ready for AI discovery.
3. Site Audit
The Site Audit helps identify opportunities to improve your website’s structure and assets for both traditional search engines and AI models.
This audit focuses on ensuring your pages include the right mark-up, structured data, and descriptive text that allow both search engines and AI crawlers to understand your content effectively.
In other words, it’s a checkup on whether your website’s technical and semantic layers are optimized — ensuring that your information is accessible, interpretable, and competitive in AI search visibility.
